This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HVAC Estimator to take their career to the next level. You will join our core estimating team and play a key role in managing estimating projects, working with engineers and contractors, and helping drive our continued success. We’re looking for someone analytical, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take the lead on estimating, ensuring everything runs smoothly, accurately, and on time while consistently exceeding client expectations.
- Carefully review project details to make sure quotes are thorough, accurate, and submitted within the required timelines.
- Dive into project specs—like RFPs, drawings, and addendums—to fully understand the scope and create precise piping schematics.
- Stay in touch with contractors to ensure clear and effective communication throughout the bidding process.
- Work closely with the Lead Engineer (Estimating Manager) and other estimators, collaborating to keep the estimating process efficient and organized.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience estimating construction projects, especially in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Strong ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, allowing you to create accurate piping designs.
- Sharp analytical skills and an eye for detail, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with mechanical selection software (like Bluebeam or PDF Exchanger) is a plus.
- Familiar with standard construction industry practices, processes, and materials.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working with a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools.
- Motivated, a quick learner, and able to stay organized while handling various tasks.
